WHY I'M RUNNING
It’s time we make our kids' education and schools a community priority.
No matter our differences, our neighbors all share the same concerns about the same things - our students mental health, literacy and math, getting kids back into school, safe and welcoming schools, and our teachers having the resources they need.
As both a parent and a professional working with families and children in the social work, human services and community advocacy field for almost 20 years, I am running for school board because I share your concerns about what’s happening in our schools and with education right now.
I believe we build stronger schools when parents, educators, and our community work together.

I believe
a school board is not a place to decide which children are worthy of support. Serving on a school board means serving every child — not only those who look like you, worship like you, live like you, or share your beliefs. This includes children of every race, culture, sexuality and gender identity, religious beliefs, political beliefs, ability, identity, and background. We do not have to personally understand every child's experience, but we must respect their dignity, protect their right to learn, and care about their well-being.

A budget is a statement of priorities. Plain-language explanations, regular program evaluation, planning that prevents expensive surprises.
